BSF kills Bangladeshi cattle trader

A Bangladeshi cattle trader was shot dead by Indian Border Security Force on Bonchowki border in Hatibandha upazila of Lalmonirhat Saturday morning.
The deceased was identified as Shahinul Islam, 27, son of Mahammad Ali of Amjhol village in the upazila, reports our Lalmonirhat correspondent.
BGB sources said BSF troops of Dhumerketu camp of Kuchbehar district in Pashchimbanga opened fire on a group of cattle traders when they were returning from India.
Shahin, who suffered bullets in his back, leg and hand, died on way to Rangpur Medical College Hospital.
Confirming the killing, Lieutenant Colonel Mahbubur Rahman, commanding officer of Lalmonirhat BGB Battalion-15, said Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has already sent a protest letter to the BSF.
